It’s time to adjust back to reality. The past few days went by so fast!

Eric and I had the opportunity to escape for a few days to the beautiful Bahamas. For those that know us, we rarely plan relaxing, beach vacations. Most of our trips are so jam-packed with action that sometimes I feel like I need a vacation to recover from our vacation. This time was different. It was really a spur of the moment trip. Lately, we’ve had a lot going on and really needed some rest and relaxation. I tend to browse the internet for potential travel adventures (almost every night when I desperately need a trip lol) and happened to stumble upon a deal to the Bahamas. I had visited the Bahamas before but it was an area that was new to Eric. Since it is close to the US, the Bahamas seemed like the perfect place to just relax for a few days.

We spent time in Freeport which, if you look at a map, is really pretty close to Florida! We just missed spring break season and it is before school is out for the summer so there were minimal crowds. The junkanoo beach club was a recommended place to visit. Taino beach is free (some other beaches charge an entrance fee) and because it was low season, it was basically empty! I heard it can get pretty crazy with crowds during high season. We were excited that there were not too many people. This was our view for most of our time there:

It was just warm enough to go in the water but not too hot that it would be unbearable to sit on the beach. Locals told us that just a few weeks ago it was too cold to enjoy the beach. While sipping a few cold beverages and gazing out into the ocean, I couldn’t help but smile and be thankful for a great start to our Bahamian vacation πŸ™‚
