While researching our next trip, I stumbled upon an article detailing 20 places that every American should see and visit. I was curious which places were on the list and if I had been to any of them.

The 20 places are (and not in any particular order):

  1. Highway 1 in California
  2. The French Quarter in New Orleans, LA
  3. National Mall in Washington, DC
  4. Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, NV
  5. Yellowstone National Park in WY
  6. Times Square in NYC
  7. Nashville, TN
  8. Grand Canyon in AZ
  9. Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, CA
  10. Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL
  11. Independence National Park in Philadelphia, PA
  12. Taos Pueblo, NM
  13. Fenway Park in Boston, MA
  14. South Beach in Miami, FL
  15. Civil Rights District in Atlanta, GA
  16. Gettysburg National Military Park in Gettysburg, VA
  17. Architecture in Chicago, IL
  18. Ellis Island in NY
  19. Pearl Harbor in HI
  20. Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC

You can find more detailed descriptions and tips on the actual site here

I really enjoyed reading the article and it brought back fun memories of all of the places that I visited on the list. There are only 3 that I have not completed: Driving Highway 1 in CA, Exploring Yellowstone in WY, and visiting Taos Pueblo, NM. Potential future travels?! 🙂
