I had the opportunity to take a break from Atlanta and visit San Francisco, CA for a few days. Eric and I have both been there before as kids with our parents so we were excited for our trip out there together as adults! We stayed at the Sir Francis Drake hotel (a fantastic choice) located right in the heart of downtown in the Union Square area. Staying there allowed us to walk to several places. We arrived early Sat morning and we were greeted by beautiful sunny weather. The weather would remain this way for our entire trip! After dropping our stuff in the hotel, we made our way around the city.

A visit to San Francisco must include strolling through Chinatown. We found a great little restaurant and decided to stop for some dim sum.

Union Square

This central point was located right next to our hotel. It was full of people sitting around the square, catching the cable cars, or shopping in all the nearby stores.

We ended up down by Market St where I found a little place serving Filipino food and had one of my favorite desserts, halo halo. Yum!

It was a great way to start our trip and the next couple days would be just as fun!!
