In order to see the other side of the waterfalls, we had a driver take us into Brazil as we spent the day in the national park in Brazil. There are not as many falls on that side, but still an amazing view. We ended up having to pay for a visa even though it was just one day. (Maybe this can be an incentive to go back and spend more time touring Brazil).
We were lucky enough to have a private guide to translate for us (we barely got by with Spanish, let alone Portuguese…), show us around, and take our pictures! I recommend visiting this side of the falls. It’s a little expensive to get a visa just for this but if your future travel plans include a longer visit to Brazil, definitely do it!
